DFDS backs White Cliffs Christmas

DFDS is the headline sponsor of the Port of Dover’s White Cliffs Christmas at Dover’s historic Cruise Terminal.

Returning for a second year, the immersive event runs until 1 January 2018 (weekends only until 21 December, then open every day of the week except Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Transforming the area with festive decorations and activities, there is an ice rink, pop-up bars and food trucks, alongside entertainment and festive stalls for adults and children alike, as well as Santa’s Grotto.

Each weekend visitors can visit DFDS’ stall and enter competitions, including the chance to win a trip to the beautiful city of Ghent, and find out about exclusive offers available for ferry crossings until March 2018.

Exclusive offers for visitors attending the event and looking for a winter escape include 1, 3 and 5-day return options on Dover to Dunkirk and Calais sailings from just £29, £59, or £64 return for a car and up to nine people.

Catherine Jowett, Brand Marketing Manager at DFDS, said: “Taking up sponsorship of the White Cliffs Christmas is a great way to show our support for the local community in Dover at this festive time. We enjoy giving back to the community and can’t wait to join the Christmas celebrations this December.”

Over the festive period, DFDS will be offering its customers an extra warm welcome on board with a free glass of mulled wine or orange juice available from 11am to 8pm on its Dover to Calais and Dunkirk ships between 22 and 29 December. Customers will also receive a £20 voucher to spend in the on board shop, which is well-stocked with a selection of perfumes at up to 30 per cent off high street prices, plus cosmetics, alcohol, toy and designer goods perfect for a late Christmas bargain.
